Dave,
I'll do a "make install", and let you know the
result.
A similar question is: say I have to upgrade kernel
on machines with several types of storage devices,
PATA, SATA, hardware RAIDs. Can I put the same initrd
onto all hosts? -- suppose I compile all disk
controllers drivers in kernel module format and on the
first goldserver, I put all the module names in
/etc/modprobe.conf.
Or I still have to run 'make install' on diferent
storage controllers machines one by one?
Thanks.
