Hi Anne,

I don't know if you are intressted in buying a book but I would recomend 100 Linux Hacks, Industrial strenght tips and tricks.
It has alot of nice tips and tricks on speeding up things. For example the no password logins and apache, logfiles and so on. And to your question, usually if it doesn't exist, just create it ;)

Regards,

Mats

Thanks for the link, Paul. Yes and no - I have got as far as being able to
log in as anne at remoteserver by giving the passphrase. Probably for most
purposes that is enough. However, I now need to understand how to use the
keys for unattended backup across the lan. I've got the man pages here to
study, but there's so much that it's hard to filter out the bit I'm looking
for.

Anne
