For the time being, that's the best way.
During the testing phase, it was enabled by default by putting a
.desktop file in /etc/xdg/autostart. That was disabled due to bug
183898. I believe that bug's been fixed in today's update. Autostart
is still disabled, and I'm not sure where to find the .desktop file for
reference.
