worth upgrading/ installing?

It is never worse to do a clean install and is usually
much faster.  If you have paid attention to where your
own files are and what modifications you have made to
the current system it is usually very easy to put those
back after a clean install.  If you get in the habit of
doing version updates without paying attention to how
you have done your own modifications it becomes much
harder to rebuild when the time comes that you do need
a clean install.
