You might also want to consider a distribution other than
fedora for this. Fedora is fast-changing and includes
a lot of stuff you won't need. For an appliance-like
server with web administration you might like SME server
from http://www.contribs.org, or if you don't mind
traditional command line administration the single disk
server version of Centos (http://www.centos.org) would
be a nice stable choice. Most Linux server programs have
been complete and stable for ages. The version churn in
fedora where you would see improvement mostly relates to
desktop applications.
