If you right click on the three menus and choose remove from panel, you 
can remove the menu from the panel.

Select the panel where you want to add the one menu with divisions. 
Called "Main Menu" and you can then place it where you want to see it. 
The one with three menus is called the "Menu Bar". This is the one you 
do not prefer.
