problem getting audio to work properly on my FC4 box

BTW, I've confirmed that it's not a hardware issue. I was able to load
alsaplayer and get sound to come out of the speakers. I also ran totem
from the commandline, and got an error message saying it can't find
/usr/lib/gnome-vfs2/modules/libcdda.so. True enough, the file is not
there. I googled, and discovered many folks who think it should be part
of the std gnome-vfs2 rpm. However, when I did a --filesbypkg, I
discovered that *my* rpm (ver 2.10.0 rel 5) does not contain that lib.
What do I do?
BTW, I can't figure out how to get alsaplayer to play my audio CD.
