My first thought, exactly. Apropos of this, I have a question...

# tcpdump
tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode
listening on eth0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes

What does the EN10MB mean? I'm guessing Ether Net 10 MegaBit per second.

I'm using 100 Base T, so I wonder whether this is just a left-over
and now inappropriate message.

This message made from 100% recycled bits.
You have found the bank of Larn.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
