Bit of a stab in the dark, but try:

System -> Administration -> Login Screen -> Security 

and uncheck:

   Deny TCP connections to Xserver

You'll have to log out and back in afterward.

Also make sure the iptables firewall is disabled or has
appropriate entries made.
