I went thru /etc/yum.repos.d and changed things like:
mirrorlist=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/fedora-core-$releasever

To:
mirrorlist=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/fedora-core-5

etc...
