FC5 and WinXP

I think you are just conjecturing and if you are gonna do that, so will
I since I don't run any dual boot Windows/Fedora systems.

The default option IIRC is to only erase Linux partitions and leave
FAT/NTFS partitions alone as I recall - unless they changed something
