Yumex is weird

Hi,
   I don't know whats going on but yumex gives this error in FC5

"Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: base
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from base: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try."

But this repo "[david at reddwarf ~]$ sudo vim /etc/yum.repos.d/local-base"

contains

And the weird part is yum has no problem with it and works ok
