Take a look into "man mount.cifs".  That's the direction things have changed 
as shown here:  
      mount -t cifs //WIN2K/tom-d /win2k-d -o user=????password=??????
where //WIN2K is the windows "server" you're trying to access and /win2k is a 
directory you create for a mount point.
