Postfix Problems

Hello all,
I am still battling with postfix.  

I have a smarthost setup it is returning this error:
550 5.7.1 Authentication Required (in reply to MAIL FROM command)

I have the password maps hashed.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or webpage?  I have search on google
for this error, but they did not help.
