Thanks,  Markku.  It's not altogether self-evident, but for the sake of the 
archives, from that page it needs Printer Manufacturer set to Generic, and 
that's where you get the option to set a raw queue.

It's a bit basic - no duplex, no 2-up printing, but at least it prints.
