Not really. The S/W Raid 1 is much faster in my testing by about 10-15%
over the Silicon Image and Nvidia H/W Raid controllers on this Mobo.
I had a Drive failure with FC5 and the H/W Raid failed miserably. The
S/W Raid however worked flawlessly when I remembered to put the boot
loader on the second hard disk.
