video intel 82865G

I have just installed FC6 in a new computer, an Intel Celeron D 2.53 with 
512MB ram and video intel 82865G (onboard) with a standard LCD screen.
How do I set up X to use  a specific video configuration ?
When it tries to start it hangs up completely. I can't even open other 
sessions.
If I start in runlevel 3, it works just fine in text mode.

Can anybody help me with this ?
