No image thumbnail images in konqueror

The button on the right (photobook) shows all the images to the right and a 
larger preview window to the left (both in the right konq pane) but I only 
see the preview for the image I click on in the preview window - no thumbnail 
images.

I used to run SuSE and I would see the thumbnail images in the photobook view 
as well as in the icon view (the left button).

Anyone know how to enable this?
