can't play avi file

I'm running a fresh install of FC6, using codecs from the mplayer site
and all the suggestions from Finley's site. Would you post what ATrpms
packages I should try? I've already dnloaded the 15 meg codecs rpm from
there. I'm running an Nvidia card with 256megs of video memory, on an
AMD64 3200+ with 2 gigs of memory, so I think I have enough horsepower. 
Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Ric
