Hello,
the best way is to use older krenel (IMHO), cifs in 2.6.18 kernel is
not good. I have had a different problem; cifs do not display more
then 100 files (I don't know exactly) in cifs mounted directory.

So, i use older kernel (2.6.17) and everithnig is ok. I hope, this
bug will be repaired as soon as possible (with a new kernel
update...:) Good luck!
