Can't su

One single user that can't "su" on a Fedora box (pick any version) using
NIS.  Al the other 80 users are fine but when this one user tries, an
incorrect password is returned and this:

Oct 26 08:10:37 ultra-trix su(pam_unix)[31286]: authentication failure;
logname=leroy uid=20080 euid=20080 tty= ruser=leroy rhost=  user=root

Is in the syslog.

What am I missing?
