ps2pdf produces non-copyable text

Dear All

I used the command

ps2pdf -dPDFSETTINGS=/printer mypsfile.ps

to produce a pdf document. The file mypsfile.ps was created by
printing to a file from Firefox (using the postscript driver).
However, I cannot copy any text from the pdf file, as apparently the
clipboard fills with nothing when copying. I am using FC6.

Any ideas?
