wrong time stamp on files uploaded ??

the server gives the following ...
[root at mail ~]# date --utc
Sat Sep  2 10:45:22 UTC 2006
[root at mail ~]#
The client s windows 2000 and the time zone is south africe / Johnanburg
which is correct..
