LCD Project does not support my FC5

According to the website, the NEC Versa e3100 uses a ultra wide screen,
which means that you are probably running at a "non-standard"
resolution. That is, you are not running at 640x480, 800x600, etc. 

Some modern LCD projectors can automatically adjust the resolution for
you, but I guess yours does not. So, you will need to set the display
resolution for your laptop for some standard resolution that is
SUPPORTED by your projector (Note: some projectors cannot even display
1024x768, maximum is 800x600).
