rhythmbox needs to be executed twice

At some point within the last month or so, rhythmbox has started exhibiting a
really bizarre behavior.

$ ps -u luser | grep rhy
$ rhythmbox &
[The mouse pointer looks half busy for a second, then back to normal. No GUI
shows up, no messages in the terminal.]
$ ps -u luser | grep rhy
23283 pts/2    00:00:10 rhythmbox
$ rhythmbox &
[A GUI immediately pops up and is completely usable. The second rhythmbox
process exits, which means that it's the first that actually brings up the GUI.]

Anyone else seeing anything similar? I couldn't find anything in Bugzilla.
