Did u try yum? And apt-get?

Yum -y install glib2

Apt-get install glib2

There are several kde apps that all want glib2.

It is not on my box and it does not seem to be available in the 
repositories.  Google did not give me any useful information to 
find it.

Can any one point me to a solution?
