error while loading shared libraries: libpam.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Boot with rescue cd or reboot and add 1 to the kernel boot line to get 
into single mode. 

Then when you get in with root access run /sbin/ldconfig, that should 
fix that problem.
