The commands nice and renice should not allow using values less than 0 for normal users. However I can use negative values, for example "nice -n -9 ls" down to -9. It is only from -10 downwards that I get a "Permission denied". How can this be? -- Gérard Milmeister Langackerstrasse 49 CH-8057 Zürich
