Trouble Burning Core 5 CDs

Don't trust the media check, it's unreliable (at least it can be if you 
have an IDE CD drive) due to a kernel bug.

If you want to check that the CDs are burned correctly, extract the data 
back off the CD (you can use "dd" for this) and compare it with the ISO 
you burned it from.
