I could not see the text for your reply. Were you able to add the 
information for the 1024x768 display mode in your xorg.conf file to get 
X working above 640x480?
Adding a screen section to the minimalistic FC6-test version of the file 
should work.
Also, using system-config-display, you could select a generic display 
using the s-c-display configuration program.
There was discussions on the list linked below about the problem on some 
systems with the reduced xorg.conf model. I am not sure if which 
direction they will take for FC6 final.
