That's the sort of thing I'd do on my own boxes, but it tends to be
other people's boxes that I have to open up. I'm one of those that has
PCs that work nicely for a year or two, at least, before I have any
need, or urge, to open the case.
They always seem to have badly marked sockets, buried under twisted
cables, buried under the edge of some hardware...
