FC5+MySQL+DualCore Intel

Hi people.

Just a simple question.

Does anybody have problems with FC5+MySQL5+Intel Dual Core processors?

I use to have some troubles with the combination above, like hangings of 
mysql when deleting temporary tables, etc. (I´m working with 1Gb tables +-)

I Know may be I need to use a more stable distro, but fedora is my 
favorite. :)
