Maybe you don't like it, but others do.  Personally, I like the pcspkr
module being around.  I like being able to get a beep out of the box as
an annunciator, have a beep that actually works and doesn't get its
knickers in a twist because something else just made a sound, and not
have to have a sound card or a set of speakers dangling off the box.
