As Mikkel said, the file is *generated* when you need it, *for* your
system.  Someone else's one won't do you any good.

I think you might need to describe the process you're using to log on as
root.  e.g. I log in graphically as myself, I do a "su -" to become
root, and I can run graphical programs without any problems.

Using FC 4, 5, 6 & 7, plus CentOS 5.  Today, it's FC7.
