It is working this afternoon ??? Did a 'yum clean all' just in case.

Sorry, I was sure that I had looked at it earlier and it was running. My
mistake; 'service mysqld start' started it just now. I must be going
cross-eyed.

OK, I'll create a new bugzilla after I upgrade, if it isn't resolved by
then.
Sorry to take your time for stupid stuff, but I could feel the
frustration rising after getting everything else re-setup.
