[F8] Ugh. Latest update prevents Gnome from coming up!

Try downloading and reinstalling the previous gdm, which is gdm-2.20.1-7.fc8

gdm-2.20.2-2.fc8 has re-created this bug:

It's not exactly the same as what you report, but perhaps it's related.
Therefore, if you downgrade back to gdm-2.20.1-7.fc8 and it works again, you
might want to add a note about it to the above bug report.
