Should I ever encounter that circumstance,
I would prefer to do the mounts myself by hand, and respond to
a prompt.

My backups don't have the problem of prompting for disc 1, disc 2,
etc, and even if they did, I would rather supply either a configuration
file, as noted above, or respond to a prompt about what device
to find them on, and let the program simply do regular mounts
and dismounts, or mount them by hand.

Not by "volume".
