How to mount Seagate External Portable on fc6

You may need to give the partitions labels. FC6 didn't do so well on
drives with out partition labels. I thought that was fixed in the
updates, but I could be wrong. You can also mount it as root - look
in /var/log/messages after you plug it in - it should tell you what
drive designation, (/dev/sda or /dev/sdb probably.) and what
partitions it finds. You can then create mount points for it, and
mount it as root. Something like:

mkdir /mnt/tmp
mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/tmp
