AFAIK the proprietary ATI drivers do not support the GLX extension
needed for AIGLX. See if your driver lists it using:

	glxinfo | grep GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap

Unfortunately there is currently no option for you because the free
radeon driver only supports this extension up to the X800 series. Read
further details here:

BTW: It would be better to install the ATI drivers using the livna
repository because it keeps you up to date when a kernel update arrives:
