TECHNOLATIN

Technolatin seems to be a word created by Doc Searls to describe a
phenomenon of obfuscation by technical marketing types and engineers who
seem pitifully short in language skills to cover their inability to
speak clearly and approach users with terminology they can use and
understand. I am bringing this up here because many of the things that
get said about Windows, Linux, and other Operating Systems is rife with
such empty words, and because one of my sons sent me an email about it.
Google "What's the Object? The problem with technolatin". It is a good
read and may help some of us ( unfortunately, myself included) get our
language skills a good upgrade (more technolatin?)

Regards,
