Ric,
We have a person at work that dedicates his time to counseling those 
which were incarcerated for one thing or another. He is more toward 
giving religious support to these people but as you state, everyone 
needs a second chance and not giving one a an avenue into society is 
only hurting the security of those that are just living life day to day.

Anyway, back to donated computers. At least these displaced items are 
getting a second chance to do some good.
