cannot remove files from /tmp

Well I am not sure what kind of file that is either except it is related
to the setting of the gid. You lsattr seemed the most interesting data
but the man page says that works on only the second extended file system
so it will not work on my system. I have no setgid data files  my /tmp.
It is certainly mysterious but it seems sort of clear that these files
have attributes that prevent file deletion. chattr should allow you to
change that.
