3rd button paste? -

I suppose, you can paste text using a keyboard shortcut, in the
application you are talking about.

In this case, you can translate the mouse
event (e.g. button 3) to a keyboard event (=former keyboard shortcut),
using imwheel (http://imwheel.sourceforge.net/).
