Yum hangs

Hallo,

my "yum update" hangs :-(

# yum update
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Update Process
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files


In an other xterm:

# ps -ef | grep yum
root     12990  3614  0 15:06 pts/5    00:00:00 /usr/bin/python /usr/bin/yum update
root     13280 13248  0 15:13 pts/10   00:00:00 grep yum
# strace -p 12990
Process 12990 attached - interrupt to quit
futex(0xb7bf17b0, FUTEX_WAIT, 2, NULL


What's going on? How to solve the problem?
