Enable printer wierdness ??

It does sound very puzzling.  As far as I can see the printer is supported and 
should give no problems.  I looked at

I hope you get this sorted.  That sounds to be a very good replacement unit 
for my aging DJ990CXi and Epson 1650 scanner.
