Thanks Todd for your explanations and pointing out devilspie (how did
this name arrive for what it does? haha). I have devilspie setup for
now and it worked, as the app opens then immediately maximized (like a
quicker than I can click on the max button) like I want.
On the other hand, on future setups/installs/upgrades and don't want to
go to the (not really) trouble of setting it up, just using
nome-terminal --geometry=1280x1024 gets it pretty much there, just a
small amount doesn't touch the panel, but can live with it.
