    Wow! I looked at the web pages and those are all Red Hat maintained 
and show a lot of work on the kernel's modules. Looks real busy. As for 
making my own that will not happen again soon. The only thing I might 
want to do is add a module that is the basis for a system that uses the 
WiFi transceiver in my lap-top. It  appears that Intel has done a lot of 
good work here.

Karl,

  If you are going to make a kernel module you just need kernel-devel package.   Some packages for intel modules are already on Fedora kernels, and others that are not intel based can be found on Atrpms, freshrpms, livna, etc.  



# yum install kernel-devel

and compile what you need.
