Is oracle a person user, or the username for some software? Many, if
not all, of the software users aren't allowed to login. Create a real
user for yourself, if that's that case. Login as yourself, su - for
anything else special.

Using FC 4, 5, 6 & 7, plus CentOS 5. Today, it's FC7.
