Not quite. To get a working VLC Media Player or any other software you 
need something like the 35KByte libdvdcss to make MY Viewer work with 
DVD Movies which I PAID FOR. I do not have nor want to use the Windows 
XP Viewer. There is nothing special about the Windows XP stuff except 
the same basic file. If the author of the Windows XP file works for 
Microsoft he might get a lawyer interested for awhile. But the money 
they can get from Red Hat is tiny so it is not worth the trouble. And it 
is far from certain.

It is possible that Microsoft is trying to get agreements with Red Hat 
to stop this stupid stuff. I hope the lawyers at Red Hat see the advantages.
