Virtual interface configuration.

Just out of curiousity, it configuring a virtual interface from the CLI
similar to setting up a regular interface from the CLI?  For instance I
have 3 virtual interfaces (on a bonded interface if that makes any
difference) I want to have setup on a reboot instead of setting them up
by hand every time.  Do I just create a ifcfg-bond1:0 in
/etc/sysconfig/networking like the other interfaces are?
